Terms of Service

By using the Joint web editor ("Service") operated by JointDesign Inc. ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Joint is a browser-based building design tool. The Service is currently provided as an early-access product and may change, break, or be discontinued without notice.

• You may use the Service without an account, with reduced functionality.
• If you create an account, you are responsible for the activity under it.
• You must provide accurate information when signing up.
• You may not share account credentials.

You retain all rights to the project files and designs you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, back up, reproduce, and display Your Content as needed to operate the Service for you — including generating thumbnails and, when you choose to share a project, displaying it to the people you share the link with.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or infringe any third-party right
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to our systems
• Reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law
• Upload malware, run automated load against the Service, or otherwise interfere with normal operation
• Resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission

The Service includes a library of assets (3D models, components). Common assets are provided for use only within the Service; you may not redistribute, resell, or use them outside the Service. You may publish your own assets to the library; by doing so you grant other users of the Service the right to use them within the Service.

If you believe an asset or a shared project infringes your intellectual property or other rights, or violates these Terms or any law, email us at support@joint.design with enough detail to identify the content and your claim. We may remove or disable access to reported content, and may remove or restrict any asset or shared content at our discretion.

We collect operational data needed to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. Limited and full usage telemetry are collected as described in our Privacy Policy. You can choose full telemetry or continue with limited telemetry in the editor.

The Service is currently free during early access. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, you will be notified at least 30 days in advance and will not be charged retroactively.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that designs produced with the Service are fit for any particular use, including construction or regulatory submission.

Designs produced with Joint must be independently verified by a qualified professional before being used for construction, permitting, or any safety-critical purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JointDesign Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) USD 100 or (b) the amounts paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JointDesign Inc. from any third-party claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, assets you publish, projects you share, or your breach of these Terms or violation of any law or third-party right.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
